Project Overview
Selling Houston is a podcast by Collective Realty Co., a luxury, Black-owned boutique real estate firm in Houston. The show explored the real estate industry from multiple angles: from financing and VA benefits to transitioning into real estate from corporate life or entrepreneurship. Hosted by veteran broker Courtney Okanlomo, the podcast also serves as a platform to mentor new agents and spotlight diverse voices in the business.
Approach
My approach to Selling Houston was rooted in clarity, strategy, and scalability. Since this was the client’s first time with podcast production, my goal was to produce a high-quality show and empower the team with a sustainable system they could grow into.
Discovery & Creative Direction
Clarified the podcast’s goals: visibility, brand authority, and lead generation. We focused on all three by highlighting Courtney’s expertise, supporting her mentoring efforts, and directing leads back to the business.
Workflow Development
I created an efficient workflow for capturing and delivering footage using the client’s setup of three iPhones and a RØDECaster Pro. I trained their team on filming, audio capture, file management, and content delivery to streamline production and keep everything on schedule.
High-End Visual Identity
Collective Realty Co. is a luxury brand, so I adopted a clean, polished visual style that captures Houston’s urban energy. I produced motion graphics, branded intros and outros, lower thirds, and thumbnail templates to maintain consistent brand presentation across platforms.
Repurposing & Publishing
I transformed each episode into multiple formats, including full video/audio versions, concise YouTube clips, vertical reels, and engaging carousel posts. I took charge of all publishing assets—titles, show notes, chapters, descriptions, and copywriting—ensuring everything was expertly optimized for maximum discoverability and engagement.

Outcome
Selling Houston became a powerful brand amplifier — not just a podcast but a platform that sharpened the identity and elevated the voice of both the host and the company. Through intentional workflow design and focused creative direction, we transformed a raw concept into a polished, repeatable content engine that worked across platforms and audiences. The visual and tonal identity we developed gave the show a distinct edge — modern, luxe, and rooted in Houston culture — making it instantly recognizable and deeply aligned with the brand’s values. More importantly, the show positioned Courtney Okanlomo as a trusted authority in real estate, helping her grow her reach and reputation. Her voice became synonymous with mentorship, transparency, and style — and the podcast played a direct role in building the confidence and clarity behind her growing personal brand. That momentum opened new doors, from increased demand for her leadership to a pivot into brand consulting and social media coaching. The numbers were solid, but the real impact was in the shift — the podcast helped her and her brand own the room, which was always the goal.
